2016 Audi Q1 gets rendered!

Audi confirmed plans for a Q1 back in December but now our artists have created a rendering of what the crossover could look like.

Drawing inspiration from the teaser image, the picture depicts a stylish crossover which eschews the company's traditional curves for tight lines and angular surfaces. The model also has a prominent grille which is flanked by distinctive headlights.

Audi has remained relatively tight-lipped about specifications but previous reports have suggested it could be offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engines including:

·         A 1.4-liter TFSI with 140 PS (103 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque

·         A 1.8-liter TFSI with 180 PS (132 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque

·         A 2.0-liter TFSI with 230 PS (169 kW) and 370 Nm (272 lb-ft) of torque

·         A 2.0-liter TDI with 150 PS (110 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque

·         A 2.0-liter TDI with 184 PS (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque

There have also been rumors about an SQ1 TDI with a twin-turbo 2.0-liter TDI engine that develops 231 PS (170 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque. If that isn't powerful enough, there could be a range-topping RS Q1 with a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine that produces 300 PS (220 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque.
