Audi is in the process of creating a new city car battling in the same category of the Mini Cooper and Fiat 500.
The model will be previewed at the 2016 Paris Motor show as reported in Automobile Magazine. If the concept is approved, production will feature two and four-door body types in 2020. It is said that the model will be based on the MQB platform, offering two –three cylinder engines with 110hp, or an electric variant using 80hp or 120hp.
Fascinatingly, there are plans of using Ducati-sourced 1.2L two-cylinder, 200hp engine for high performance. The model as well is mentioned to be a two seat roadster similar to the KTM X-Bow.
The future of this concept car remains unclear as the chairman of Volkswagen Group Ferdinand Piech who resigned recently had this new car as a pet project.
