James May revealed in his Sunday Times column that he recently bought a Ferrari 458 Speciale , just before Top Gear as we know it went bust.
"I've ordered the last one - all I need is a job to pay for it" is James May's recent column for The Sunday Times . He talks about buying a Ferrari 458 Speciale for £208,090 at the moment when the Top Gear trio was on the verge of signing a new three-year deal with the BBC. However, as most of you know the deal was never completed so now May is in a predicament.
Buying the 458 Speciale was May's way of celebrating the new three-year deal, after which he says "we would definitely chuck it in with dignity and hand the reins to a new generation, assuming we were still alive."
He also said nobody knows what will happen to Top Gear and the future of its "three former presenters" remains a mystery at this moment.
In the meantime, Richard Hammond is fighting boredom by driving his 1931 Lagonda as the video below shows.
