Nicolas Amiouni and Red Bull have parted ways after two successful years together, including a victory at the 37th Rally of Lebanon this past September and the Group N title in the Lebanese Rally Championship.
Amiouni made the announcement on his official Facebook page and personal profile, he stated the following: “For sure this will be a bit of a shock for my motorsport fans and followers, but I would rather think of it as a positive experience and an important chapter of my career. My partnership with Red Bull has ended after two amazing years. For sure it was the best two seasons of my career, and definitely a privilege to have had the chance to work with Red bull. I managed to win the Gr.N hillclimb championship in 2013 and set the record in Baabdath’s race. I also finished runner up to the rally championship with two podium finishes, and 1st overall in my category in Jezzine. This year was a blast. Setting the record in Der el amar hillclimb, winning the Gr.N rally championship, finishing runner up in the overall championship, and scoring Red Bull’s first ever win in the Legendary Rally of Lebanon. I have met amazing people, made a lot of friends, and that is the most important thing. It was a pleasure working with them. Now it’s time for the next challenge. Will keep you posted for next season’s program!”
