Suzuki has powered into the New Year with fortitude. From the addition of 250 Motocross Champion Blake Baggett, to the comeback of Broc Tickle, to the dominating Anaheim 1 performance by Ken Roczen, Suzuki and the RM-Z450 have proved that they are a force to be reckoned with around the world in 2015.
During the opening round of the 2015 AMA Supercross season in Anaheim, CA, Suzuki not only made waves on the home front, but also exerted its global influence with Suzuki riders and personnel from all over the world. Executives from Japan, as well as team riders and personnel from Australia and Europe, rallied behind their fellow U.S. Suzuki teammates during Anaheim 1 to kick off 2015 in full force.
Joining the Yoshimura Suzuki and Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory teams and riders were Suzuki Motor Corporation engineers, Noriaki Ishibe and Shuzo Ukai, GRP Team Manager, Joel Smets, and GRP team riders, Kevin Strijbos, Glenn Coldenhoff and Graeme Irwin, along with World Champion, Eric Geboers.
U.S. riders attending were Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart and Blake Baggett, as well as Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/ Suzuki’s Ken Roczen and Broc Tickle. RCH Racing co-owners Carey Hart and the GOAT, Ricky Carmichael, were also in attendance, in addition to the Vice President of Yoshimura, Don Sakaura. Australian Champion Matt Moss was also in attendance. The visitors were welcomed by Suzuki Motor of America Inc. President, Tak Hayasaki.
The Suzuki motocross team is excited to begin the New Year with AMA Supercross and looks forward to carrying its racing momentum globally into 2015.
