Aprilia HSBK Team Riders Announced

Aprilia HSBK Racing recently announced the Aprilia USA sponsored effort for the 2015 MotoAmerica season. They are a two-rider program with the RSV4 running in the SuperStock 1000 class. Both riders have already undergone rigorous physical tests and training regimens; team testing begins shortly.

Dustin Dominguez will be back with Aprilia HSBK Racing after a strong SuperSport season last year. Dominguez has nearly 30 regional championships, multiple AMA Supersport wins and pole positions, multiple track records and is an established rising talent and top contender for the 2015 season. His strong rapport with the team, impressive results, and ability to give feedback make him a great fit for the Aprilia USA backed team.

Dustin commented, “I am excited to be back with a team that has consistently given me a top notch machine and can help foster my growth as a rider. Being with so much support is where every rider wants to be and now it’s time to put in the hard work and perform. In 2013, I had the opportunity to ride an RSV4 for HSBK at a CMRA race and I set a track record my first weekend on the bike. The RSV4 is the best handling bike I’ve ever been on and I know that it is the bike I need to be at the front of the pack. I’m grateful for the opportunity to take it to the top and for the support of everyone who has made it possible.”

Devon McDonough has also signed and will join the Aprilia HSBK Racing Team for 2015.   McDonough, 19, of Portland, Oregon completed the 2014 season with Championships in OMRRA, WERA, and AFM.  Devon has been in the sights of the team for several years and in the last eight months has matured into a rider with paramount speed and finesse. His smooth riding style suits RSV4 well. The team at HSBK Aprilia is looking forward to working with this young rider to continue developing his talents and are eager to see what results are on the horizon for the up-and-coming star.

When asked about his ride McDonough stated, “I have the incredible opportunity to ride for the Aprilia HSBK Racing team. I have to thank Bobby and the whole Aprilia HSBK team for welcoming me. I am looking forward to riding with them soon and working with them throughout season. This is a great step forward in my racing career and I look forward to continuing the momentum I built last year with this new team. I had an opportunity to visit the race shop and see what Ronnie Saner and his team are doing with the bikes and was blown away by the quality of the RSV4. With their knowledge and experience, it is going to be a great year. A great thanks to all who have helped me make this possible. Looking forward to getting out on the track in 2015!!”

For the 2015 season, Aprilia HSBK Racing has contracted Ronnie Saner, of RSRacecraft, as crewchief. RSRacecraft will help with engine development and technical services. Last season they proved to be critical to the team’s success. In addition, Ronnie Saner has worked with Aprilia HSBK Rider, Dustin Dominguez, for a number of seasons and several manufacturers and plans to bring the same success to the Aprila HSBK Racing team.

“I believe in our bikes, crew, and riders and know that they will be able to bring the results we are expecting. We have been campaigning to run the Aprilia RSV4 for three seasons and it’s great to see the hard work pay off and to have built such a great support network in the process. Our riders boast impressive resumes and have a wealth of untapped potential. I can’t wait to see what the season has in store. ” Team Principal, Bobby Shek.
