Hamilton dominates once again!

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton gets a step closer towards retaining his title as the world champion by winning first place in the Russia Grand prix during the 15th stage of the world championship of the Formula One at Sochi circuit.

Hamilton was ahead of German Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Mexican Sergio Perez (Force India-Mercedes).

Mercedes team dominated the 15 stages so far, and only Vettel broke this “domination” with his victory in Malaysia, Hungary and Singapore.

Hamilton won 9 races so far this season while Rosberg won three but finished second six times.

Lewis scored his 42nd victory in his career, surpassing the score of the 3 time- world champion, Brazilian Ayrton Senna.

Hamilton benefited from the withdrawal of German team mate Nico Rosberg in the seventh lap, due to mechanical failure (fracture of the throttle) after he was in the lead.

Hamilton thus strengthened his position for the championship by achieving 302 points compared to 66 points for Vettel, who came in second place at the expense of Rosberg who had his score “ stuck” on 229 points!
