Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations Managing Director John Edwards has revealed the company could revive the Jaguar XK SS for a limited production run.
Speaking to Autovisie, Edwards said the company is looking for a follow up to the 'new' Lightweight E-Type that was introduced last year.
He went on to say the company is considering three or four models and the XK SS is a "major contender."
As he explained, 25 XK SS models were built but nine of them were destroyed in a fire.
This gives the model an interesting back story which Edwards says is a requirement for recreating classic models.
