Authorities in Burgundy, France have installed a rather peculiar traffic sign saying "there are still children to crush, you can accelerate."

The controversial traffic sign was installed after previous methods of convincing drivers to slow down have failed as the speed bumps, mini roundabout and a 30 km/h speed limit didn't help at all.

The authorities in Burgundy, France decided to resort to black humor as a desperate way to convince drivers to stop speeding in that area where many accidents have occurred.

Needless to say, many residents have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding the traffic sign but maybe this unconventional warning will prove to be efficient after all the traditional methods have been futile.
