But it's not a Continental GT replacement.
Having made its official debut at Geneva earlier this month, the Bentley EXP 10 Speed6 Concept apparently made quite the impression. We were on hand to see the moment the sheets were pulled off it, and the immediate response was also positive. However, a few observers also felt the concept reminded them of the Aston Martin Vantage, proportionally-speaking. We concurred, but it’s not that we don’t like it. And if you absolute can’t stand it, then you’d better get used to it.
According to a new report from Car Magazine, Bentley is planning to have it enter production sometime in 2018. Even Bentley boss Wolfgang Durheimer stated the car "is one vision for Bentley’s future – a powerful, exquisite and individual concept. The show car has the potential to be the new pinnacle luxury two-seat sports car. It could be a future model line, alongside the Continental GT and redefining the pinnacle of another market sector, and the styling...could influence the expansive of the Bentley family." Sounds like production is very much the intention. And that’s just fine. As long as the Continental GT remains in place, something like the EXP 10 is exactly what Bentley needs. However, the production-spec Bentayga SUV will arrive first.
